How to rotate a PDF
Drop your PDF into the box above, or click Choose files. Every page appears as a preview, as it looks now.
Click the turn arrows under a sideways page until it stands upright. If the whole scan is sideways, use All left or All right.
Check the previews: each shows the page as it will be saved.
Click Save PDF and download the rotated PDF.
Why rotate a PDF?
Scanners and phone scanning apps guess which way is up, and they're often wrong for landscape tables, forms scanned upside down or pages fed in the wrong way. Turning the page in your viewer only lasts until you close it.
Rotating the pages in the file means whoever you send it to (a school, an office, an accountant) sees every page the right way, on any device, and prints it correctly.
What rotating changes
Only each page's orientation. The page itself is copied untouched: text stays sharp and selectable, and nothing is re-compressed, so the file stays about the same size.
You can also remove pages or change their order on the same previews, if the scan needs more than turning.
Is it safe?
Yes. Rotate PDF runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read and converted by your own device using built-in browser technology, so they are never uploaded to a server and nobody else can see them.
You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and convert a file. No upload requests are made.
The PDF is rotated in your browser and never uploaded.
Files stay in this tab's memory only until you remove them or close the page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes. Every page has its own turn arrows; the others stay as they are.
How do I rotate every page at once?
Use All left or All right above the previews: each click turns every page a quarter turn.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. It's saved in the new PDF, so it opens the right way in every viewer, on phones and when printed.
Does rotating lower the quality?
No. Pages aren't turned into images or re-compressed; only their orientation changes.
Why do some pages look turned already?
The previews show each page as PDF viewers show it now, including any rotation the file already has. Turn a page until it looks upright here, and it will be upright everywhere.
