Why convert PDF to JPG?

Is it safe?
Yes. PDF to JPG runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read and converted by your own device using built-in browser technology, so they are never uploaded to a server and nobody else can see them.

PDFs are rendered with pdf.js, the engine behind Firefox's PDF viewer, and scripts inside the document are never run. Nothing in the document is sent anywhere.

What happens with multi-page PDFs?
Every page becomes its own image, numbered in order (report-page-1, report-page-2 and so on), and they're downloaded together as a ZIP. A single-page PDF gives you a single image.
Which resolution should I choose?
150 DPI is right for screens, email and the web. Choose 300 DPI if the images will be printed or you need to zoom into fine print. 72 DPI gives small previews and thumbnails.
Will the text in the images be selectable?
No. Each page becomes a picture, so text is no longer selectable or searchable. Keep the original PDF if you need that.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Open the PDF in your PDF app, remove the password or print it to a new PDF, then convert that copy.
PDF to JPG or PDF to PNG?
JPG gives much smaller files and suits scanned pages and photos. PNG is lossless and keeps text and line art perfectly sharp, at the cost of larger files.
