Privacy

The short version: most tools never see your files at all, the few that do delete them immediately, and we don't need to know who you are.

Tools that run in your browser

All image, PDF, audio and video tools on PocketConvert run entirely in your browser. The files you add are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. We can't see them, store them or share them, because we never receive them. These pages show “Your files never leave your device”.

Tools that use our server

Word, Excel and PowerPoint to PDF (LibreOffice) and PDF to Word (pdf2docx) need software that can't run in a browser. For these tools only, your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server in the European Union, converted, and deleted as soon as the result is sent back to you. Files are never stored, shared or used for anything else, and the server keeps no access logs of who converted what. These pages show “Encrypted upload, deleted right after conversion” instead.

Usage statistics

We may record anonymous events such as “a JPG to WebP conversion of 3 files completed in 2 seconds” to understand which tools are useful. These events never include file names, file contents, image metadata or anything else about your files.

Accounts and cookies

There are no accounts. The site stores a single preference in your browser, your light or dark theme choice, and nothing else.
