Why convert Excel to PDF?
Sending a spreadsheet as a PDF shares the numbers without the formulas, hidden sheets or the risk of someone editing a cell by accident. Reports, invoices and price lists are usually sent this way.
A PDF looks the same for everyone, while an Excel file depends on the viewer's screen size, zoom level and whether they have Excel at all.
PDFs are also the easiest way to print a wide spreadsheet consistently.
Excel vs PDF
An XLSX workbook is a live document: cells hold formulas, sheets scroll endlessly and nothing has a fixed page. A PDF turns it into fixed pages, exactly as they would print.
Page breaks follow the print settings saved in the workbook. For the best result, set the print area, orientation and 'Fit to page width' in Excel before converting.

Is it safe?
Excel to PDF is one of the few tools on this site that needs a server, because the conversion software can't run in a browser. Your file is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server in the EU.
The file is converted in memory and deleted as soon as the PDF is sent back to you. Nothing is stored, and the server keeps no access logs of who converted what.
Macros in workbooks are never run during conversion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are all sheets included?
Yes. Every visible sheet in the workbook becomes part of the PDF, in order. Hide or delete sheets you don't want before converting.
My table is split across pages. How do I fix it?
Pages follow your workbook's print settings. In Excel, open Page Layout, set Orientation to Landscape and choose 'Fit All Columns on One Page', save, then convert again.
Are my documents uploaded?
Yes, this is one of the few tools that needs a server. The file is sent over HTTPS to our server in the EU, converted and deleted immediately. It's never stored, and no access logs are kept.
Are formulas kept?
The PDF shows the calculated values, as they'd print. Formulas themselves aren't included, which is often exactly why people send PDFs.
Can I convert password-protected files?
Not yet. Remove the password in your Office app (File → Info → Protect), save a copy, and convert that copy.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 50 MB, and you can convert several files in one go.
