How to make a QR code
Choose what the code should hold: a link, text, Wi-Fi details, a contact, a WhatsApp chat, an e-mail or a phone number.
Fill in the details. The code appears as you type and is test-scanned, so you know it works before you print it.
Pick colours and add your logo if you like, then download it as a PNG for screens and documents or an SVG for print, at any size.
Why make your QR code here?
Many free QR code sites make a "dynamic" code that points to their own short link. When the trial ends or the site closes, every printed menu, flyer and sign stops working. Here the link, Wi-Fi details or contact are written into the code itself, so it works for as long as the thing it points to does.
There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit, and nobody tracks who scans your code. Codes are made in your browser, and what you type is never sent to us.
PNG or SVG?
PNG is an image that works everywhere: in documents, presentations, messages and on websites. Choose 1024 pixels for most uses and 2048 for large prints.
SVG is a vector that stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a banner, and is what printers and design apps prefer. Both keep your colours and logo.
Is it safe?
Yes. QR Code Generator runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read and converted by your own device using built-in browser technology, so they are never uploaded to a server and nobody else can see them.
You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and convert a file. No upload requests are made.
The QR code is drawn in your browser. What you type, including Wi-Fi passwords, is never uploaded, and the code doesn't pass through any link of ours.
Files stay in this tab's memory only until you remove them or close the page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the QR code expire?
No. It's a static code: what it holds is written into the pattern itself, so it keeps working forever. It stops only if the website it links to goes away.
Can I change where the code points after printing it?
Not with a static code: changing the content changes the pattern. If you may need to change it later, point the code at a page you control, such as your own website's menu page, and update that page instead.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password and pick the security type (WPA/WPA2 for most home routers). Guests scan it and join without typing the password.
How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?
Choose WhatsApp and enter your number; a Turkish number starting with 0 gets +90 added. You can add a message that's filled in for whoever scans it, such as "I'd like to book a table".
Will it still scan with my logo on it?
Yes, if the logo is kept small: it covers the middle, and the code is made with the highest error correction so that part can be missing. Every code is test-scanned, and you'll see a warning if it doesn't read.
Which colours scan best?
A dark code on a light background, with a clear difference between them. Light codes on dark backgrounds and pale colours don't work with every camera; you'll see a warning when colours are too close.
